Ken Chagnon Scholarship Fund
The Orthotic and Prosthetic Education and Development Fund is pleased to announce the Ken Chagnon Scholarship Program to provide grants to individuals who are pursuing an education in orthotics and prosthetics. Each year the program will award $500 to a deserving O&P technician program student.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited O&P technician program as well as:
demonstrate a financial need,
show exceptional technical aptitude
contribute to their own education financially,
must provide a recommendation from someone currently working within the orthotic and/or prosthetic profession.
APPLICATIONS: Students may apply directly for the scholarship, or a professor may nominate them. To be considered for the award, students must submit a completed application, a letter of reference, a transcript and a 200-word essay on why they want to work in the orthotic and/or prosthetic professions by January 31, 2008.
