The board of directors of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists has been sensitive to our members' comments and suggestions about affordable continuing education opportunities. With this issue, you are offered an opportunity to seek two continuing education
units (CEUs) using the least costly method available: journal article review and quiz. The Academy manager of
continuing education, Paula Uhlir, has instructionally designed a quiz for this issue's selected article, "Protocol and
Procedures." The requirements are easy: Simply review
the article, respond to the quiz in the back of the journal,
and forward your completed quiz and a check for $15
AAOP members, $20 non-AAOP members, to the Academy. A passing score of 75 percent earns two CEUs. Look
for this opportunity in future issues of JPO as well.
Guest Editorial
In this issue of JPO we are featuring a guest editorial by
Jules M. Rothstein, PhD, PT, editor of Physical Therapy.
When I read his August 1993 editor's note, "The Case for
Case Reports," I knew immediately it was the kind of
encouragement our readers needed. I wrote to Dr. Rothstein seeking permission to reprint his note. As you review
this guest editorial, I hope you are encouraged to submit
your own case reports. The JPO editor and board stand
ready to assist you in any way possible. As always, your
comments and suggestions are welcome.
