EDITOR'S COMMENTS

Jeffrey A. Nemeth, CPO, FAAOP

Spring is a season of change, and at JPO, it brought some changes of our own, the most challenging being the departure of our current Managing Editor. After many years of being the unseen hand guiding the direction of the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics, of facilitating the near smooth operation of this unusual journal, and generally elevating the overall quality of articles and information, Ellen Haight stepped down in June as the Managing Editor. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ellen for the tremendous unsung contributions she has made to JPO. We at JPO, the entire editorial board, and the production staff at Lippincott Williams & Wilkins wish Ellen the very best in all her future endeavors, and thank her again for a job very well done.

I would also like to invite you to read the guest editorial in the current issue by Marty Carlson. In future issues, we will offer a forum for healthy discussion and debate on patient management challenges, and trends in the O&P community, through a new section entitled "Point/Counterpoint." Our goal is to allow new and differing voices and opinions to be heard, and we encourage the feedback and responses of all our readers.
