You're among friends at the Academy Annual Meeting! Kick off the week with an hour and a half of renewing old acquaintances, making new contacts, and enjoying a taste-treat of San Diego foods. Try your luck at Nautical Miniature Golf, the Marlin Ring Toss and the "Bauerfeind USA Crab Races"! Start collecting stamps for your Game Card tonight to be eligible to win one of the many great prizes during the week. The Welcome Reception is held in the Exhibit Halls to give you a chance to peruse the layout of the floor, note the location of the exhibitors you wish to visit later, and plan your Exhibit Hall time during the meeting.

Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF) Events
OPAF will host a golf tournament at the Riverwalk Golf Club in San Diego on Wednesday, March 19. The First Swing clinic (in cooperation with the National Amputee Golf Association) will take place on Tuesday, March 18 also at Riverwalk. The always popular OPAF Silent Auction will be Wednesday thru Saturday.
Fitness for Everyone
Dennis Oehler and Todd Schaffhauser, three-time Paralympic track and field champions, will lead a Fitness for Everyone clinic on Saturday, March 22 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm in the hotel. The clinic provides above- and below-knee amputees of all ages with instruction on stretching, strengthening, walking, running, and achieving their own goals. Family members and practitioners are welcome to participate in this day-long event made possible through a partnership with Endolite North America. Join your friends and colleagues at this special banquet Friday night to honor the Academy's award recipients. Sam Hamontree, CPO will receive the Titus-Ferguson Award and Dennis Clark, CPO will be presented the Distinguished Practitioner Award recognizing their distinguished careers and significant achievements in the O&P profession. This special event is by ticket only and members are encouraged to dress up for the occasion. The family is welcome (for children under 12 a special meal is available for $15). Adult tickets $50.

Experience the sights & sounds of San Diego with our fully narrated two-hour tour that combines colorful anecdotes, humorous stories and well-researched historical facts.
