A selected pair of composite heel and toe springs is individually mounted onto a lightweight carrier. The springs provide a high level of elastic strain energy to ensure a smooth transition from heel strike, mid stance and toe off through the gait cycle. CaTech and Chas A Blatchford have recently collaborated on the development of a new knee module to address the concerns of existing products. This new design will be presented highlighting the improvements.
