The Academy Annual Meeting education program continues to evolve. Poster Presentations provide an additional forum for sharing information. The clinical program includes Instructional Courses, Symposia, Free Papers, and Poster Presentations. Current clinical information is key to keeping interest high. This is your opportunity to participate in the success of the program by contributing a Poster Presentation. We are seeking solutions to common problems, patient and practice management techniques, innovative uses of technology, current research findings and much more.

Poster Presentations

Abstracts and
biographical sketch
must be submitted by:

  • Provide a forum for a one-to-one, in-depth discussion using narrative and visual material to display and communicate the objectives, methods, results and conclusions of a specific research study or illustrate a piece of equipment, technique, program, etc.

  • A poster presentation should state the objective of the presentations, describe the method of study and provide a statement of conclusions or recommendations.

  • Visual material such as photographs, charts and diagrams may be used.

  • The presenting author(s) will serve as the resource person or consultant and should be present at the time specified for the poster presentation to engage in discussion with interested individuals.

  • One poster board, 4 ft high x 8 ft wide and tacks for mounting will be provided for each poster presentation.

  • A heading for the top of the poster space should be prepared indicating the title (same as that of the abstract submitted), authors(s), and institutional affiliations using letters not less than, 1 inch (3 cm) high.

  • Printing on the poster should be a minimum of ½ inch (2 cm) high. Illustrations and printing must be readable from distances of at least 6 feet (2 meters).

  • Sole use of displayed typewritten pages of the paper or abstract will not be allowed.

Submitting Your Abstract

Using the online form provided below, follow these easy steps:

  1. List your name and any co-presenters; include credentials, organization, address, phone and fax numbers and email address for each person.

  2. Provide the title of your poster presentation

  3. Write a 100-word description about the propose of your study, methods used, summary of results and major conclusions.

  4. Provide examples of how the material has been implemented

  5. Provide examples of how your ideas can be transferred to others.

  6. Attach a short biographical sketch of the speaker(s).

  7. Poster Presentations submitted by companies or manufacturers must pay a $350 fee. Poster Presentations submitted by students or practitioners require no fee.

Please do not send supplemental materials. Abstracts must be typewritten. Proposals constituting sales pitches for products or services are not appropriate. Notification letters will be mailed eight weeks after the submission date.
