Annual Business Meeting Becomes Member Breakfasts

Clinical Techniques

A spectacular new addition to the Annual Meeting clinical program. Modeled after programs offered at international meetings these truly hands-on sessions involve every participant in the room. You will walk away with tangible knowledge that you can immediately put to use.

The two Clinical Techniques sessions focus on Casting a Transfemoral Amputee and Gait and Physical Assessment. Class size for these specialized two-day, four-hour programs is limited to 50 to ensure each attendee receives the appropriate attention. Space is available on a first come first serve basis. Please use the meeting Registration Form to reserve your space. Session fee: $75

O&P Management of the Lower-Limb Patient

Fitter Education Program

The Academy is pleased to welcome its newest members by offering education geared specifically to their needs. O&P practitioners and a psychologist will lead this one-of-a-kind fitter program. Details to come in the Preliminary Program Update.

Highlights

Renewed Focus on Free Papers

Always a key part of the Academy clinical program, a new focus has been placed on the Free Paper sessions. Time has been added to each Free Paper session to allow audience interaction with the presenters. Free Paper presentations will be 10 minutes in length plus 3 minutes for discussion. Have your questions ready!

Annual Meeting Scheduler: A Personal Benefit for Academy Members

Follow the easy instructions and click on the individual sessions and events to create your own personal schedule for the entire meeting. This personal scheduler also helps you identify which exhibitors you wish to visit and highlights their booths on the Exhibit Hall diagram.

Project Quantum Leap (PQL)

The Academy’s Project Quantum Leap initiatives are taking off in leaps and bounds! We have made great strides in our programs to increase O&P awareness, document clinical standards of practice and encourage the development of applied O&P research. Be sure to stop by the PQL booth to hear about our latest accomplishments. We need your continued support of this important investment in the future of the profession. Be sure to thank those suppliers who are supporting PQL as you tour the Exhibit Hall. Wear your PQL ribbons and donor pins proudly and encourage your colleagues to get involved and learn more about Project Quantum Leap. Earn your pin when you join the Academy’s Circle of Excellence through your support of PQL.

Technician/Fabrication Sciences Program

The Academy values the support and participation of technicians in Academy programming. This year’s technician program will be a full-day packed with informative sessions critical to success. Details on the program will follow in the Preliminary Program Update.

Electronic Journal of Proceedings

Supporting materials for each of the education sessions offered at the Academy Annual Meeting is provided to you on a CD-ROM. This is a hassle-free way to save the information for future reference.
