Automated Fiber Placement in Prosthetic Socket Design

Automated fiber placement has been used to manufacture composite fiber architectures. This technology has been used for off-the-shelf weaves and braids for many years. Our technology is now being applied directly to the socket adapter, creating a Preformed Adapter product.

The Practical Benefits of Using Pressure Analysis with 3D Digital Imaging for the Design of Custom Foot Orthotics: A Hands-on Workshop

This workshop will evaluate the clinical benefits of combining dynamic force and pressure measurement data (F-Scan) with objective 3D imaging data (Footfax-SL). The combination of these two technologies allows for 1) a better understanding of foot biomechanics and pathology, 2) helps to establish and set treatment goals, 3) provides 3D digital image data for the design of a corrective foot orthotic, and 4) allows posttreatment assessment of the orthotic efficacy.

Advances in Carbon Fiber Prosthetic Foot Technologies: Fitting and Function
