Fellow Scholarship

The New England Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetist (NEAAOP) offers a scholarship to New England members towards becoming Fellows of the Academy. Download the Application for further details.

Previous Chapter Highlights

  • The 2008 Annual Meeting was held in Mount Snow, Vermont on October 22-24th..

  • The 2007 Annual Meeting was held at The Hilton Hotel in Mystic, CT on November 7-9th..

  • The program started a day early with the WalkAide Certification Course .

  • Total possible credits for last years program including WalkAide was 31.25.

Chapter Benefits/Areas of Involvement

  • Through chapter membership, practitioners are recognized as practicing according to Academy standards.

  • The Chapter has an Athletic Fund for clients of the New England Chapter orthotic and prosthetic facilities so individuals can participate in competitive athletic programs.

  • The Chapter has contributed to the Academy Grassroots marketing efforts, to the Kurt Marshall fund, and to the Northeast Passage.

Chapter Goals and Objectives

  • Conduct activities which promote the attainment of the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct of practitioners.

  • Collaborate with recognized educational, research and other organizations to enhance and further develop the profession of orthotics and prosthetics.

  • Provide continuing education to enhance the professional and ethical competency of practitioners.
