The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists announced today that Lydia Middleton, MBA, CAE has left the Academy.

“We want to thank Lydia for her service and wish her well in her future endeavors,” said Academy Board President M. Jason Highsmith, PT, DPT, PhD, CP, FAAOP. “We look forward to continuing the Academy's long tradition of excellent leadership. The Academy is a strong and vibrant organization, and as O&P professionals, we know well the valuable contribution it makes to our work and the patients we serve.”

The Academy Board of Directors has formed a transition team to guide the search for a replacement. Chellie Blondes, deputy executive director of the Academy, was selected by the board as interim executive director of the Academy while a replacement is sought.
