While there are many different types of orthoses and treatment protocols, the purpose of this course is to provide a framework of reference. The reference is derived from current literature, a comprehensive survey of 17 orthotic practitioners at various centers nationwide, and practitioner experience treating plagiocephaly. The 19 survey questions covered topics such as treatment duration; wearing schedules; frequency of follow up; fitting and follow up adjustments; variables affecting outcomes; and multiple orthoses.
