Certificate Program for Professional Development: Orthotic Management of Scoliosis and Kyphosis
The Certificate Program for Professional Development focusing on the Orthotic Management of Scoliosis & Kyphosis incorporates discussion of the etiology and natural history of Idiopathic Scoliosis as well as the biomechanical considerations for orthotic treatment of Idiopathic Scoliosis. The program addresses the importance of trunk balance in the orthotic treatment of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) as well as the etiology and treatment of Scheuermann's Kyphosis. The unique challenges of the pediatric spine are discussed as is neuromuscular scoliosis.
