The Women in Orthotics and Prosthetics Committee is dedicated to encouraging the professional development of women within the field of prosthetics and orthotics. This group also serves as a resource for both women practitioners and women looking to enter the field. It is our goal to unite the women of O&P at the national level to form a network of mentorship, collaboration, education and research culminating in the advancement of women in the field.
Each year, the Women in Orthotics and Prosthetics Committee roles out a number of webinars to serve as a conduit for the Academy on a variety of women's issues.

Webinar- Women in Specialty Roles in Orthotics

This webinar will showcase live interviews with women in the O&P profession to gain insight on why they chose their O&P path, what inspires them to continue to focus on their specialty area, what advice they would provide to new graduates, and more. This panelist-style webinar will offer insights from female practitioners who deal with cranial remolding helmets, spinal orthotics/scoliosis, general orthotics, pediatric orthotics, and KAFOs/SCO.
