Connection with the Academy
The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and the O&P Education and Development Fund are separate organizations. In general, the Fund provides partial funding for Project Quantum Leap and as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offers many contributors a tax deduction (please consult your tax advisor for details). The Academy's Executive Director serves as the staff administrator of the O&P Education and Development Fund. The Academy provides program support and staff oversight to programs administered under the Fund, particularly the Project Quantum Leap initiative.
