The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) is conducting a search for a Curator-in-Chief of its evidence database, O&P IQ. Editors are appointed for a two-year term and may be reappointed for a second consecutive two-year term.
O&P IQ makes the latest research available to all Academy members. Articles are automatically pulled into O&P IQ as drafts, and trained curators review and publish or remove each resource. In the curation of each resource, an expert assigns the metadata elements of body segment, category of evidence, and associated Medicare L-Codes. This allows Academy members to not only search by relevance but also narrow their search to the types of resources that will best inform their clinical question (body segment, L-Codes, and categories of evidence).
Evidence of familiarity with O&P research, categorization of research, and experience assessing research quality.
Five plus years of clinician experience.
Certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics as a clinician is preferred.
Application Submission Deadline
Letter of interest and detailed curriculum vitae, including a record demonstrating experience with research evidence, should be submitted by May 20, 2020.
