Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium

Nine Scientific Societies. Societies encourage dialogue among members in specialized areas of O&P. Societies also engage in research, offer education programs at Academy Annual Meetings, and regularly contribute to publications. The societies also run networking websites and forums to facilitate member communication and promote the exchange of ideas. Chairing a Scientific Society also fulfills part of the criteria for becoming a Fellow of the Academy. All Academy members—from student to practitioner—are welcome to join and participate. Academy Chapters Academy chapters are regional and state groups that offer local resources to Academy members. Chapters focus on licensure and local legislative issues and offer continuing education for their members

Your Personal Scheduler: Planning your days at the Annual Meeting just got easier. Your Personal Scheduler makes it easy for you to create a personalized, custom itinerary for attending sessions and events. The scheduler is available from September through the Annual Meeting each year. In addition, using the Academy's interactive exhibit hall floorplan enables you to check off and print a list of exhibitors (with booth numbers) that you intend to visit while at the meeting.

Membership with the Academy runs on an annual cycle from July 1 – June 30. If you join the Academy between July 1 and January 31, your membership will expire on June 30. If you join the Academy between February 1 and May 31, you will receive a pro-rated, extended year-membership, and your membership will expire June 30 of the following calendar year.
