Are you a busy clinician who wishes to implement evidence-based practice techniques? The Academy's Secondary Knowledge Committee has a solution for you: Academy Journal Club.
Journal Club session will be offered bi-monthly through the Online Learning Center. For course completion, participants will:
- read the designated article,
- review the summary presentation,
- take the course exam and,
- discuss both with your colleagues and/or with those whom you choose to form a local club. You and your local journal club colleagues may also post questions or comments to the national discussion board via the Academy website.
Before participating in Journal Club, we recommend reading these two articles:
"How to Read and Understand A Journal Article" - Jennifer Raff
"How to Critically Read a Journal Research Article" - Thomas Lunsford
This Session's Article
January 1 - February 29, 2020
Parents' Perspectives and Clinical Effectiveness of Cranial-Molding Orthoses in Infants With Plagiocephaly
Hyo Sun Lee, MD, Sang Jun Kim, MD, PhD, and Jeong-Yi Kwon, MD, PhD
Read this article, then head over to the Journal Club section of the Academy's Online Learning Center to review the presentation. After that you'll need to discuss this research with your local journal club, post to the discussion board, and take the quiz for CEUs.
