Fellow Program

Signature Recognition

Fellow of the Academy

The Fellow designation recognizes hard work, sustained learning, and dedication to professional excellence in O&P. Fellows demonstrate mastery through ongoing education and meaningful service to their communities and the profession.

What the Fellow Designation Means:

Fellows are recognized by the initials FAAOP, FAAOP(A), and FAAOP(D) after their name and certification credentials.

Fellow status lasts five years for FAAOP(A) and FAAOP, and ten years for FAAOP(D). After that, additional professional requirements must be met to maintain the designation.
