Collaborative Mission Statement
The Collaborative on Inclusive Action and Engagement breaks down barriers to access and support faced by underrepresented groups and marginalized communities, benefiting the entire O&P profession.
It offers learning tools and support that encourage and engage members to co-create safe spaces for all individuals in the profession and to lead conversations and initiatives around diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within The Academy.
Collaborative Initiatives
The Collaborative facilitates the annual Empowering Emerging Voices Scholarship and hosts a Professional Development/Change Management series at the Academy Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium. It also sponsors an event celebrating its mission, highlights awareness months, and develops projects spotlighting diverse issues within O&P.

Join the Collaborative
Academy members are invited to apply to join the Collaborative on Inclusive Action and Engagement and take part in meaningful work that supports access, belonging, and inclusion across the O&P profession. Collaborative members help advance educational initiatives, support emerging voices, foster safe and respectful spaces, and contribute to projects that highlight diverse experiences and perspectives within the field.
