Craniofacial Prosthetics Part 1: An Introduction to Auricular, Nasal, and Orbital Prostheses and How Patients Obtain Them (W2021-1006)

The webinar will introduce the various eye, nose, ear, and other partial or complex facial prostheses that are also often referred to as craniofacial or maxillofacial prostheses. Photos will illustrate each type of prosthetic restoration. The nomenclature associated with each and how these silicone appliances have been delivered to patients in need will also be discussed. It is hoped that this webinar will help reveal the traditional technical/artistic nature of this somewhat obscure niche specialty that will increasing benefit from tools of the digital age and involvement of O&P clinicians.
