The Academy now offers multiple options to make membership and participation more manageable. Whether you are newly certified, looking for a more flexible way to pay, or adding involvement through a Scientific Society, you can choose the option that best fits your needs.
Step-Up Dues Program
Start strong with a graduated dues structure designed to support newly certified orthotic and prosthetic professionals as they transition into practice.
- Designed specifically for newly-certified professionals
- Full access to Academy member benefits from day one
- A more manageable path into full membership
Membership Payment Plan
Spread the cost of membership dues across equal payments while maintaining access to the benefits and resources that support your professional growth.
- Dues are split into equal installment payments
- Automatic payments are required by credit or debit card
- Members receive full benefits as long as payments remain current
- Designed to make annual dues more manageable
Scientific Society Subscription
Academy members can add participation in a Scientific Society through an annual subscription model that helps keep involvement simple and ongoing.
- Available to current Academy members
- Annual Society participation is billed separately from membership dues
- Supports continued engagement in your area of professional interest
- Helps streamline annual Society renewal

These options are designed to meet members at different points in their professional journey. You may qualify for one option, or you may choose the one that best aligns with how you want to manage your membership and participation.
Important Details
Eligibility requirements apply to each option. The Step-Up Dues Program is intended for newly certified professionals. The Membership Payment Plan requires automatic payment enrollment and continued good standing. Scientific Society participation requires active Academy membership and is billed separately.

The Academy’s interactive poster session, led by Lauren Levey, MSPO, L/CPO, brought energy and engagement to #AAOP2026 on Thursday afternoon. The atmosphere was lively, with conversations unfolding around research design, clinical implications, and innovative ideas shaping the future of orthotics and prosthetics.
With more than 60 attendees casting votes, participants evaluated posters across four creative categories: Favorite Figures, Best Poster Title, Most Surprising Results, and Game Changer. The categories encouraged attendees to look beyond data alone and appreciate presentation, originality, and potential impact.
