Professional Bio

Chris Baschuk, MPO, CPO, FAAOP(D), is the Director of Clinical Services at Point Designs, specializing in additive manufacturing and silicone customization for upper limb prostheses. He holds a Biomedical Engineering degree from the University of Utah and a Master’s in Prosthetics and Orthotics from UT Southwestern, completing his residencies at Kootenai Prosthetics and Orthotics in Idaho.
Since 2017, Chris has chaired the Upper Limb Prosthetics Society and serves on the Academy’s Public Policy Committee, focusing on coding, coverage, and compensation in prosthetic rehabilitation. He received the NCOPE Larry Lange Travel Fellowship, The OPERF Fellowship and Student Awards, and has attended every Academy Meeting since 2011.
Passionate about advancing the O&P profession, Chris champions innovative care, challenges outdated public policy, and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration to improve access to prosthetic rehabilitation. He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get to work.
As a member of the Academy’s Board of Directors, Chris hopes to foster collaboration, advance innovation, and advocate for policies that ensure equitable, high-quality care for all patients.
