Outcomes Associated with Concomitant Lower-Limb Amputation in Persons with Major Upper-Limb Amputation: Results of a National Study (JPO037-1a)
This course examines the functional outcomes and psychosocial impacts of individuals with dual upper and lower limb amputations (ULA and LLA). Through a national survey of US veterans, the study explores key differences and similarities between those with single versus dual limb loss, focusing on pain, disability, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) outcomes. Clinicians will gain valuable insights into how these conditions affect prosthesis utilization, pain perception, and the overall well-being of amputees with combined upper and lower limb loss.
