Outcomes Associated With Use of Powered Wrist Units (JPO038-3a)

Outcomes Associated With Use of Powered Wrist Units - Findings From a Cross-sectional, Observational Cohort Study (JPO038-3a)

This study compares clinical and patient-reported outcomes among adults with upper extremity amputations using prosthetic wrist units with powered rotation (PWR) versus passive wrist units. Through physical examinations, functional performance testing, and self-reported measures, the authors evaluate pain, dexterity, prosthesis satisfaction, activity performance, and quality of life. The findings explore the potential benefits and limitations of powered wrist technology and discuss important clinical considerations for selecting the most appropriate wrist unit based on individual patient needs.
