Craniofacial Prosthetics Part 3: Overview of Osseointegration-Retained Facial Prostheses (W2021-1208)

Join us for the final session of this 3-part webinar series where Greg Gion, MSS, CCA, BOCP will showcase the three types of osseointegrated facial prostheses and delve into the progression of steps involved in planning for, fabricating, fitting, and delivering the various CF prostheses.

Basic OI componentry will be presented, including implant fixtures, healing abutments, and standard abutments. Up-close clinical images will include handling tools used to install prosthetic components and the steps needed to capture impressions. Selection of different attachments such as maximagnets, o-ring magnets, and bar-clip systems will be discussed. Some of the dynamic ways in which surgeon-prosthetist teams have been formed to provide osseointegrated CF prostheses will also be highlighted.
