Séamus Kennedy Joins the JPO Editorial Board
The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) is pleased to announce the appointment of Séamus Kennedy, BEng(Mech), CPed, FAAOP(A), to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JPO).
Kennedy is co-owner of Hersco Ortho Labs in New York City and brings extensive expertise in pedorthics, foot and lower-limb biomechanics, orthotic design and fabrication, and digital manufacturing technologies. A mechanical engineer by training, he has contributed to the profession through numerous articles, book chapters, presentations, and interviews and is frequently consulted by O&P practitioners and physicians on complex cases.
A longtime Academy contributor and Associate Fellow, Kennedy has moderated the Foot and Ankle Biomechanics and Pedorthics Program at the Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium. He also serves on the O&P EDGE Editorial Advisory Board and as co-chair of the Pedorthic Footcare Association’s Pedorthic Education Committee.
JPO Editor-in-Chief Steven A. Gard, PhD, welcomed Kennedy’s appointment and the expertise he brings to the Editorial Board.
